Fall Wellness and Safety

Keep your children well and safe throughout the fall with these tips!
  • Get your families flu shot BEFORE flu season arrives. Protect yourself and others from getting sick by being proactive.
  • Practice good handwashing hygiene: Wash your hands before eating (including snacks), after a trip to the bathroom, whenever they come in from playing outdoors, after touching an animal like a family pet, after sneezing or coughing if they cover their mouth, and when someone in the household is ill.
  • Clean and disinfect  surfaces in your home when someone in your household is sick, especially if the illness can be spreaded/contagious.
  • Cold air, viruses, and allergens can trigger asthma flare ups around this time of year. Work with your child's Pediatrician to monitor and manage your child's asthma.
  • Monitor the weather closely. During the fall season, the weather tends to fluctuate between warm and cold. Dress accordingly to prevent illness.
