Amy Dryer, MD, FAAP

Dr. Amy Dryer grew up in Maryland, went to undergraduate at Smith College and then taught Japanese at a boarding school in Massachusetts for three years.  While teaching high schoolers, she realized that what she really wanted to do was care for kids, so she attended undergraduate and then medical school at Columbia University in New York City.

After a residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, Dr. Dryer was an emergency room doctor, an urgent care doctor and a primary care pediatrician.  During the pandemic, she began teaching primary care pediatricians how to provide mental health care in their offices with The REACH Institute.

In all of this, Dr. Dryer realized that what called to her most is providing excellent care for teenagers, kids with mental health challenges and teens who identify as LGBTQIA+.

Dr. Dryer is a mom of two kids, an avid yogi and yoga teacher, and she loves reading, baking and hiking in the mountains.
