A Chantilly native, Kim McCuen joined our practice in 2007. Kim has worked in a variety of settings including a county health department; school based health care; private practice; and a college where she taught nursing. While she enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, Kim especially likes well-child visits and health education.
Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University in 1990. Following her undergraduate degree, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1993.
Kim is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is also licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse through the State of Virginia. She is also a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses (NAPNAP), and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
Kim and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters. She enjoys being with her family, traveling, and volunteering locally with Girl Scouts and at her daughters' schools.
