Expanded Walk-in Hours at All of Our Offices!

All four of our offices have Walk-In hours Monday through Friday. We know it's convenient for families to be able to come in as needed for simple illnesses, and minor injuries. Providing excellent and convenient care, our goal is to offer parents an option to urgent care centers or hospital emergency rooms. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you can call ahead to schedule a Same Day Appointment, please do.  While your child will be seen when you use our walk in clinic, there is usually a wait involved, as scheduled appointments of any kind always take precedence.

Q:  How do READY CARE (walk-in hours) work?

Each of The Pediatric Group's offices offer Walk-In Clinic hours 8 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday for established patients from any of our offices (who have been seen at least once in a TPG office). No appointment is necessary. Your child will be seen by one of our providers, on a "first come, first served" basis, amidst our previously scheduled appointments.

READY CARE is offered by whichever provider is available at the time your child needs care. 

Q:  What kind of issues are best served by READY CARE?

Walk-in Hours are really designed to handle acute care issues such as cold symptoms, pink eye, fever, throwing up, diarrhea, ear or throat pain, bug bites, or minor injuries.

​READY CARE is not intended for chronic or wellness issues such as medication checks, well checks, sports physicals, immunizations, etc.  For these types of care, please make a scheduled appointment for your child. 

Q: How do I know if my child needs READY CARE or a Scheduled Appointment?

At Walk-In visits, providers spend time assessing and treating sudden or urgent concerns.

For more chronic conditions or complaints, please schedule an appointment. This will allow a more complete and thorough assessment of the issues as well as a more detailed discussion of the diagnosis and treatment plan. Concerns such as recurrent headaches, abdominal pain, back pain, behavior or emotional concerns are best addressed at a SCHEDULED appointment.

If you have any questions about READY CARE services, or would like our help in determining the best appointment type for your child, please call your home office and speak with one of our triage nurses.

After Hours Pediatric Triage Service

The Pediatric Group, PC offers an AFTER HOURS PEDIATRIC NURSE SERVICE, supported by our on-call physician. Simply call the office where your child is regularly seen and you will be connected with a Pediatric Triage Nurse. This service is meant for URGENT QUESTIONS that cannot wait until the morning. The on-call physician is unable to refill routine medications, call in antibiotics, or schedule appointments.

There is a $15 charge for after hours calls concerning children over the age of two months.

If you have non urgent questions (that can wait until our offices open again) you can ask them using our patient portal any time. Questions sent through our patient portal will answered Monday through Friday during normal office hours.
