Vito A. Giannuzzi MD, FAAP
Prior to his passing in May of 2009, Dr. Vito A. Giannuzzi was the guiding force that built the solid foundation upon which our practice has grown and flourished. His dedication to the Northern Virginia families he served is still seen today through the providers he mentored and the policies he implemented during his tenure.
Dr. Giannuzzi earned his Bachelor of Science and MD degrees from The George Washington University in 1968 and 1972 respectively. This was followed by a 3 year Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center
in Washington, DC. Dr. Giannuzzi joined the practice of origin, Wineland, Wilmot and May
, in 1980 after 5 years as a pediatrician in the United States Air Force. He had an interest in general pediatrics and ADD/ADHD.
Dr. Giannuzzi was married to our former nurse practitioner, Betsy Giannuzzi. They have 5 children between them and four grandchildren. He enjoyed photography, golf and traveling and dabbled in stained glass design in his time off.
